My name is 'Jeong-U Seon', aka 'mirugi' for internet community.
I've written columns about Manhwa from 1995 in Korea. Not only I did for Korean Manhwa - Animation, but also for Japanese animation. I can do Japanese language, so started contributing articles to Japanese media from 2002, about Korean Manhwa - Animation. I contributed to Yomiuri newspaper - Eureka - Kino and more.
It was hard to introduce Korean Manhwa even in Japan, because it's not well known abroad. So I used 'Comparision', giving similar example in Japan to introduce Korean Manhwa. I think this could be best way to introduce Manhwa in US, too.1
Next part of this column, I'd tell "Korean Manhwa is different" for what.
