If you read this writing, you might be fan of Manhwa (or Manga, at least).
Almost every countries might have their own Comics style. America has Marvel / DC super heroes, Japan has [Naruto] - [One Piece] & various Manga style, Europe might have their own (Largo Winch / Smurf / etc), and Manhwa is Korean.
Even if some good Manhwa books were released in US / Japan / Europe, it's not so big wave up to now. So if you're Manhwa fan & read several books from Korea, could have special cultural taste.
So if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you 'The reason why you like reading Manhwa'. Please tweet to @iseetoon / or Reply here / or e-mail to us / or ... etc.
Anyway here comes my guesses.
1. Girl's Comic(Shojo Manga) style, but different from Japanese.
I found some women(girls) like Manhwa, and made blog / do tweet about them. Of course, their main dish is 'Manga', but also reads 'Manhwa'. Maybe US doesn't have Comics for Girls, so they chose Manga & Manhwa for them.
2. Needed something different.
Manga is very different from American Comics, and maybe needed somewhat more different (but similar).
3. Like Korean culture.
As I know, many people like Korean culture already, including K-Pop / K-movie / K-indie music / ... etc. Have liked several Korean culture for a while, and finally found Manhwa.
Maybe you have other reason beside these. If so, please share your thoughts.
